MEF Lifecycle Service Orchestration Hackathon Debuts at MEF15
Amartus, an expert services company that specializes in design, development and integration of innovative, standards-based Telecom solutions, today announced it is a silver sponsor of the GEN15 conference, taking place November 16-19, 2015, at the Omni Hotel in Dallas, and will participate in the lifecycle service orchestration (LSO) hackathon.
Amartus’ participation at the show will mark the official announcement of its prime focus on expert telecom services, helping telecom companies implement the software that will improve their businesses.
“We’re excited to participate at GEN15 and the LSO hackathon and to get in front of our peers and customers to share with them our new strategy. We have implemented a number of MEF-related projects, and our main goal is to help telecom companies couple the standards-based reliability with the latest industry innovations, hence our decision to participate in the pioneering LSO hackathon,” said Marcin Paszkiewicz, CEO of Amartus.
The focus of the hackathon is to accelerate the development of open source LSO APIs, OpenDaylight plugins and orchestration solutions. Amartus specializes in design and development of comprehensive, real-time multi-vendor application, so it recognizes a great potential and business value in implementation of the lifecycle service orchestration.
During the three days of the event, Amartus’ Technical Architect, Bartosz Michalik will join other participants to get a hands-on experience with Lifecycle Service Orchestration APIs and ODL plugins and implement an LSO orchestrator, orchestration GUI, and E-Line UNI manager plugin.
Organizers hope that the hackathon will not only accelerate service activation and activation projects, but also will strengthen collaboration and community building around open source telecommunication initiatives.
GEN15 will bring together about 40 MEF and open source specialists from about 20 telecom related organizations. Amartus will be located in booth 316. For more information, visit https://www.gen15.com/.
