Amartus on the Road: Bringing Secure Inter-Carrier Service Automation to the Industry

For some people, fall means colder weather, falling leaves and pumpkin flavoring in everything. For Amartus, fall means pioneering technology demonstrations at three conferences helping solve burning technology issues concerning inter-carrier service automation, blockchain for carriers, and multi-vendor SD-WAN services.

The conferences we’re participating in include:

SDN & NFV World Congress, 8-12 October, The Hague

SDN-NFV-World-Congress-Amartus-2018Our efforts at this show are focused on a pioneering inter-carrier service automation demo.

At our booth #B38, we will present a demo titled: Open Standard API Inter-carrier Service Automation and Blockchain Settlement. It will be one of the first demonstrations combining open standards-based APIs with the blockchain technology to provide Service Providers with the means to automate their inter-carrier infrastructure. The demonstration is a part of the show’s official Demo Trail.

Be sure to sign up for that if you are going to the event.

In addition, our Business Development VP, Simon Altman will be a guest speaker during a special MEF LSO seminar focused on orchestration of automated networks. The seminar will feature several presenters discussing “agile, assured, orchestrated services” made possible through Lifecycle Service Orchestration.

Simon’s session, “Standardizing Inter-Provider & Intra-Provider LSO APIs for end to end Orchestrated Services,” will provide an overview of the LSO reference architecture and LSO committee projects, and provide a status update on the efforts to standardize API functions at multiple interface reference points.

Capacity Europe 2018, 23-25 October, London

As this is the largest carrier-focused event in Europe, we want to be sure that this audience can see the benefits of our inter-carrier service automation solution.

Many companies are expanding offices globally, which makes it important for carriers throughout the world to work more closely with their counterparts in other countries. Capacity-Europe-2018-Amartus

Our LSO Sonata inter-carrier service automation demonstration will show the benefits of an  automated lifecycle management of a service across multiple carrier boundaries.

Visit us on stand 129 to see the live demo, or send us your enquiry now at contact@amartus.com, to find out more.

MEF18, 29 Oct – 2 Nov, Los Angeles

We are a committed MEF contributor and this show is the most important of the series of the annual MEF events. This year at MEF18, we are undertaking two breakthrough PoC demonstrations and participating in the LSO hackathon.

MEF18-AmartusFor one of the PoCs, we’re teaming up with the global telecom carrier TI Sparkle for a PoC titled: Towards a Multi-vendor Orchestrated SD-WAN: LSO-enabled Solution with Open Source Orchestrator and Container-based uCPEs. SD-WAN is a hot market – some call it the “killer application” for network functions virtualization. Our joint demonstration shows how some of the barriers around multi vendor SD-WAN services can be torn down.

Listen to our PoC partner, Daniele Mancuso, Director of Innovation of Engineering at Sparkle, speak about the PoC objectives in this video:

The second PoC is a first of a kind MEF initiative, a part of an internal MEF Fulfillment & Activation project, where we push the envelope in multi-carrier service deployment. Together with ECI, Tata Communications, TI Sparkle, Spirent, Equinix and Liquid Telecom, we demonstrate a real-world use case in a technology demonstration entitled: Fulfillment and activation of an intercontinental MEF 3.0 service spanning four operators.

More details on either of these two PoCs are available at the Amartus website.

As always, we will be waiting for you to share our networking and LSO expertise in the Networking Hall Booth, stand 614. Our technical architects and developers will traditionally join the LSO Hackathon. The goal of the event will be to develop and validate a YANG model for SD-WAN services.
