MEF’s New Chapter as Mplify Alliance Backed by Amartus
MEF, a global industry alliance at the forefront of network service standardization, has officially rebranded as Mplify Alliance. The move reflects a bold new vision focused on enabling secure, scalable, and AI-powered connectivity across a rapidly evolving digital landscape and delivering Network-as-a-Service (NaaS) at global scale. Amartus, a long-standing and active member of the Alliance, will continue to play a key role in advancing Mplify’s mission through its leadership in Network and NaaS automation and Lifecycle Service Orchestration (LSO) standards.
The decision to rebrand stems from MEF’s expanding scope and strategic ambition to “amplify” collaboration across a broader ecosystem of service providers, technology vendors, and cloud platforms. While MEF was historically known for pioneering Carrier Ethernet standards, Mplify represents a future-facing shift toward standardized Network-as-a-Service, real-time inter-provider automation, and AI-driven orchestration frameworks.
This rebranding also signals a renewed focus on open interoperability, aiming to make global networks more agile, programmable, and intelligent. Through technical specifications, implementation blueprints, APIs, and certification programs, Mplify is working to simplify and accelerate how digital services are ordered, delivered, and assured across multi-provider environments. As digital transformation accelerates and enterprise demand grows for on-demand connectivity, Mplify’s role as a facilitator of unified, standards-based operations becomes increasingly vital.

Amartus has been at the heart of this transformation. Over the years, we have consistently contributed to MEF (now Mplify) working groups, standards development, and joint innovation initiatives such as Mplify Accelerators. Our B2B2X Open Standards solution, nBrace™, has been showcased in multiple award-winning implementations that demonstrate how AI and LSO APIs can streamline service provisioning across complex, multi-party networks.
In 2024 alone, Amartus was honored with three major Mplify Awards, including Best NaaS Vision Vendor, LSO Solution Provider of the Year, and Best of Show MEF Accelerator Live. These accolades reflect Amartus’s continued leadership in developing practical, scalable automation solutions that turn industry standards into operational reality.
As Mplify Alliance enters this new chapter, Amartus remains a committed partner, helping to build the open, intelligent networks that will define the next generation of digital connectivity.
