We are proud to announce that our Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer, Michael Kearns has been appointed as co-chair of the MEF LSO Committee.

Michael joins two other experts, Karthik Sethuraman (NEC/Netcracker) and Laurent Sevette (CenturyLink), and will be working on defining, streamlining, and standardizing processes for buying, selling, delivering and operating MEF-defined services.

The MEF Committees are working groups of members focused on a particular area of MEF expertise. Currently, there are 3 Committees within MEF structure, and the 4th is shaping up:

  • Digital Services Committee – combining the work of previously existing Services Committee and Applications Committee.
  • LSO Committee
  • Test & Certification Committee
  • Commercial and Business Committee – a newly created initiative with the general goal of developing a standardized approach for automation of commercial interactions between providers and providers and enterprises.

Each of those Committees is overseen by 3 chairs, appointed by MEF Board of Directors to one year terms.

Michael (…) has been a strong contributor to MEF, and we look forward to his contributions, in particular in bringing a strong business perspective to the team,” said Nan Chen, the President of MEF.

The MEF LSO Committee has done tremendous work to get the technical standards to where Providers can implement them and begin to realize the benefits. The next stage is scaling adoption to build a rich automated, global supply chain of Providers. We need to engage business stakeholders of Provider and Enterprise to continue to develop the drivers for adoption and to apply this to prioritize the future work in LSO. I look forward to working with fellow LSO committee co-chair and wider MEF team to help make this happen.” said Michael Kearns, Co-founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Amartus.
