2017 Kicks Off with MEF Q1 Members Meeting in LA

Amartus continues its MEF engagement through participation in this year’s first Quarterly Members Meeting. This time, the meeting will take place in Los Angeles, between January 23-26, 2017.
During the four days of the event, MEF members will meet to discuss the progress of the existing work around Third Network Services,Lifecycle Service Orchestration, Reference Architectures, Open APIs, LSO Hackathons, and many other MEF initiatives.

Open Source, End-to-End MEF LSO SDN NFV PoC | Amartus, Cisco, Cloudify

Amartus announced a new guest post on Cloudify blog, focusing on an innovative MEF LSO demo project that the two companies jointly delivered with Cisco. The PoC uses an all-open set up, comprising MEF LSO Presto APIs, OpenStack, OpenDaylight SDN controller, the Cloudify orchestrator, Open vSwitch, and Mininet.

MEF Updates Members on 40 Active Projects in Ottawa

The Ottawa meeting builds upon the substantial and varied progress made at the August Boston. The focus of the meeting will be on how to advance work across a number of key areas: Specifications for Third Network Services, LSO and Operations, Open Initiatives and new Certification Programs.

Top MEF Contributors Meet in Boston to Discuss LSO Development

One of the highlights of the meeting’s agenda will be progressing OpenCS and OpenLSO projects. Other critical points in the schedule include discussions on the CE 2.0 acceleration and laying the foundations for the Third Network services, advancing LSO development, and elections of MEF Board of Directors.

Amartus and Cisco Co-lead OpenCS Packet WAN Project

The project is a part of MEF’s OpenCS ecosystem that develops and tests reference designs of MEF-defined L2-L7 services (e.g. E-Line) using combinations of Open and Closed Source software, Open Spec and commercial hardware (e.g. CE 2.0-certified devices), SDN, and NFV.
